Helicopter Services To Kedarnath Pawan Hans Helicopter service is resuming daily helicopter services from 12th May 2010, from Agastya Muni (district. Rudraprayag) to Kedarnath. Chopper will depart from Agastya Muni daily between 6:30 A.M. to 11:10 A.M., Pilgrims can take a flight by a 5-seater Bell 407 helicopter. Agastya Muni is located 17 km beyond Rudraprayag , One Rudraprayag to Kedarnath road. Rudraprayag is about located 140 kms from Rishikesh and well connected by road. The helicopter service originates from the helipad located at big play ground (near Police Station) at Agastya Muni. Helipad is on the left side of main Rudraprayag - Kedarnath road .The flight time would be around 45 minutes for a round trip (Agatstya Muni-Kedarnath-Agatstya Muni). The first flight would take off at 6:30 A.M. and the last flight will take off from Agast Muni would be at 11:10 A.M. Available Darshan Time For Devotees Helicopter passengers would get one hour thirty minutes at Kedarnath for darshan of Sri Kedarnath ji. The passengers who would like to stay overnight at Kedarnath, Can take the last flight of the day around at 11:10 A.M. from Agastya Muni. Accomodation is available at Kedarnath. Passengers should book their own accommodation directly at Kedarnath. PHHL would assist them in this regard. Payment shall be made directly by them at guesthouse. Flight Fare and Darshan / Cancellation Charges Helicopter round trip charges are Rs. 8,501/- per Person (Agastya Muni-Kedarnath-Agastya Muni), Prices includes Rs. 501/- for special Darshan on priority basis. Passengers can also purchase one way tickets , Agastya Muni-Kedarnath or Kedarnath-Agastya Muni, subject to availability of flight seats. The fare for one way flight is Rs. 5000/- per person for Agastya Muni-Kedarnath and Rs. 4000/- per person for Kedarnath-Agastya Muni sectors with no priority darshan. Infants (less than 2 years) will be charged 10% of ticket cost without any seat in flight . There is no half ticket for children. Full charges for children will be charged , Children would be provided with seats. Tickets can be purchased directly from PHHL, the cancellation charges for tickets would be as under: Cancellation time more than: 24 hours is 5% 12 hours is 25% 04 hours is 50% Less than 4 hours is 100%. If the flight is cancelled or rescheduled due to bad weather or technical reasons or lack of pasenger load or any other reasons, the passenger is required to travel on his own. The liability of the PHHL will be limited to the refund of fare of unutilized sector. Flight Timings : Helicopter Service Kedarnath
Passengers can only carry one hand
baggage on helicopter flight. Passangers are required to abide by the
security requirements and not to carry prohibited items in their
baggage. At the helipad at Agastyamuni there's enough space for parking of
vehicles. After coming back to Agastya Muni by helicopter, the
devotees can also reach Joshimath / Badrinath on the same day by
their own mode of transport via Kund situated around 18 kms, from Agastya Muni. |
